KC lives in a 108 year old cracker house along the eastern coast of Florida. She surrounds herself with what she calls her hairy and feathered family; her cat, dogs, pig and chickens. She is a country girl at heart who is quite content spending time at home in the garden or hanging out with her animals.
Life has not always been idealistic and peaceful for KC. Her natural abilities in art, sheer determination, and ingenuity helped her graduate from high school. KC is dyslexic and did not read her first book until after graduation. She knows what it is like to struggle through life and has found great pleasure in teaching troubled teens how to express themselves through art.
Over the years, she has fallen in love with many people, places, and experiences. These loves are reflected in her artwork. Her love of rodeos has led her to do a series of paintings of famous rodeo characters and celebrities. In addition to rodeos, she is drawn to the elderly and people full of eclectic character.
KC finds great joy in sharing her talents with others. She says it's a God given gift and even more a blessing if she is able to reach someone’s soul through her paintings.
